It fact the environment usually encourages comments to aide development.

Of course this depends on the environment itself, but even if it was a closed learning network I believe the teacher has the right and need to check on the student, otherwise how do you do your job?Mr Woodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17917358324891648329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7732072261622601001.post-89275384537838445062009-03-05T16:04:00.000+13:002009-03-05T16:04:00.000+13:00Kia ora ShaunAs interesting though it may be, this...Kia ora Shaun

As interesting though it may be, this situation in the classroom, it becomes even more philosophical when it comes to the virtual classroom or/and any ramification of that environment.

Many elearning environments permit a tutor/teacher/facilitator to 'snoop' on what activities a learner has_done/is_doing/is_yet_to_do. Many Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard, provide the means to do this.

I put myself in the position of a learner who is 'caught out' for not completing a reading or other activity that is, perhaps, otherwise observational in nature, such as viewing a movie or animation (or not as the case may be) and I wonder.

Bearing in mind the analogous situation in the classroom, I put it to discussion:

is checking on a student in that e-environment to be also regarded as an invasion of privacy? Or what?

Catchya later
from Middle-earthBlogger In Middle-earthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08722634477041121797noreply@blogger.com
